About the program
Rinsebase (rinsebase.com and app.rinsebase.com) is business-management software for professional cleaning companies. As part of the service, Rinsebase sends transactional text messages on behalf of the cleaning companies that use our platform — things like "your property is guest ready," schedule confirmations and changes, appointment reminders, and shift alerts for cleaning staff. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.
Who receives messages, and how they opt in
Two groups of people receive texts from Rinsebase, and both provide their phone number and consent before any message is sent:
- Cleaning staff (crew members) provide their mobile number to their employer for work notifications. The number is entered in the team profile alongside a consent disclosure, and every message includes opt-out instructions.
- Clients of cleaning companies (property owners and property managers) provide their phone number to their cleaning company and request text updates about their service. Text updates are off by default; the cleaning company can only enable them by confirming the client asked for and agreed to receive texts, and that confirmation is recorded with a timestamp on the client's record.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
What opt-in looks like in the product
Rinsebase is an authenticated business application, so the opt-in steps below are reproduced here verbatim for verification.
1. Enabling text updates for a client — the "Text updates (SMS)" setting on the client profile is off by default. Turning it on presents this confirmation, and the attestation is stored with a timestamp:
"Turn on text updates for [client name]? Only enable this if the client asked for text updates and agreed to receive them. Message & data rates may apply; they can reply STOP at any time. Your confirmation is recorded with a timestamp on the client record."
2. Adding a crew member's phone — the phone field on the team profile carries this disclosure:
"By providing their mobile number, this team member agrees to receive work-related texts (shift alerts, reminders) via Rinsebase. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
3. Every message sent ends with "Reply STOP to opt out."
Message frequency
Message frequency varies with service activity — typically one message per cleaning event (for example, a completion notice), and zero on days with no service. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts at any time. After you reply STOP, we send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and nothing further. You can also ask your cleaning company to turn off text updates in your client profile, or email info@rinsebase.com.
